Para reduzir acidentes e proteger tanto os animais quanto os trabalhadores ferrovi\u00e1rios, o Minist\u00e9rio do Meio Ambiente, Florestas e Mudan\u00e7as Clim\u00e1ticas da \u00cdndia realizou recentemente um semin\u00e1rio dedicado ao uso de tecnologias de intelig\u00eancia artificial nesse cen\u00e1rio.<\/p>\n<p>Um dos projetos mais promissores est\u00e1 sendo implementado no estado de <strong>Tamil Nadu<\/strong>. Trata-se de um <strong>sistema de alerta baseado em intelig\u00eancia artificial<\/strong>, que utiliza uma rede de c\u00e2meras equipadas com <strong>sensores de movimento e tecnologia de imagem t\u00e9rmica<\/strong>. Esses dispositivos conseguem identificar a presen\u00e7a de elefantes a uma dist\u00e2ncia de at\u00e9 <strong>100 metros<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Quando o sistema detecta a aproxima\u00e7\u00e3o de um elefante pr\u00f3ximo aos trilhos, um <strong>alerta autom\u00e1tico \u00e9 enviado \u00e0s autoridades ferrovi\u00e1rias<\/strong>. Assim, os operadores podem reduzir a velocidade dos trens ou tomar outras medidas preventivas, diminuindo significativamente o risco de colis\u00f5es.<\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m das c\u00e2meras inteligentes, v\u00e1rias <strong>rotas de migra\u00e7\u00e3o de elefantes<\/strong> no pa\u00eds j\u00e1 contam com sistemas de <strong>detec\u00e7\u00e3o de intrus\u00e3o baseados em sensoriamento ac\u00fastico distribu\u00eddo (DAS)<\/strong>. Essa tecnologia utiliza cabos e sensores que captam vibra\u00e7\u00f5es no solo ou no ambiente, permitindo identificar movimentos de grandes animais pr\u00f3ximos \u00e0s linhas ferrovi\u00e1rias.<\/p>\n<p>No entanto, o governo indiano destaca que a tecnologia sozinha n\u00e3o resolve o problema.
